Fking Mircrosoft Edge! Tubestar (Let's Play Oneoff)
In today's video we take a play Tubestar, an older(2013) indie game where your objective is to become a Youtube star (duh~). The game mechanics were a little tricky to figure out at first, since like idiots we didn't use the tutorial. Although Tubestar has a newer game out currently called Tubestar 2016, we wanted to play this game first since it was the original version so to speak. In Tubestar, you start off as a random person with a day job just starting off in the youtubing world. Since you are just starting off, all of your videos are going to no doubt suck and give others cancer... that's why we decided to start off with an amv video~ After our channel (somehow) failing, and us going into debt and being unable to eat, we started a new amazing game channel. Ours :D
Tubestar was a fairly fun game once the inital mechanics were understood, but after a while it just became a grindfest with no real objective in sight IMO. Maybe it was just because the subscriber count for the top Tubestar were so low, but it felt like we broke the barrier in no time. Because I (TJ) am fricken insane, I decided to grind on for a bit to try and make a million dollars~
It took a total of around 150 days, but we ended up with a fanbase made up of around 500,000 subscribers and 1.5 million dollars. Needless to say that was around when the robot overlords took over and took up 3 hours per day of my grind time.... HOW THE HELL IS A PERSON GOING TO BE A TUBESTAR IF HE HAS TO SPEND SO MUCH TIME WORSHIPING THESE RUSTY DEITIES!
Overall Tubestar was a kind of fun game with the biggest drawback probably being the complete lack of sound or music. Shit gets kind of boring when you're in a room of absolute silence grinding~ But other wise this game was fairly solid, and hopefully the newer updated version of Tubestar, called.....wait for it... Tubestar 2016 will be a more enjoyable experience.
This is TJ signing off~
