Flashback 2 (PS5) first play gameplay and impressions
No commentary gameplay from Flashback 2 on PS5, plus first play impressions below.
Note: I did very little editing to my gameplay video, but I did cut off the period at the end where I got stuck and couldn't proceed any further. When you see it cut to the title screen, that's when I got stuck, and although you won't see it, I tried to get unstuck for about five minutes or so before giving up and exiting the game. Upon reloading the game I discovered that the game had not been saving at all during my playthrough that morning and I had lost about an hour of progress.

πΉοΈ First Play Impressions
ββββββββββββ
Pros:
β
clean modern looking graphics
β
bike sequence between cities is kind of cool
Cons:
β lots of bugs and errors, including where you can't save
β controls feel "off" and gameplay itself is not interesting
β narrative is not well written
β voice acting is legitimately bad
Verdict: π Avoid this. Even at a bargain price Flashback 2 still isn't worth playing, but especially at $39.99 it is a complete waste of money that could go towards a good game. If you are morbidly curious you could consider picking it up at a DEEP discount, but even then I'm not sure it's worth it. I won't be playing anymore of this, and will be uninstalling it post haste. Honestly wish I could get a refund, and that doesn't happen often.
[First Play Impressions is a new format I'm trying out, and I'd love to know if you found the above information interesting and informative. Let me know in the comments.]
