Из-за этого Flashback часто ошибочно считают сиквелом Another World — другой игры Delphine Software.
Действие игры происходит в 2142 году. Главный герой — Конрад Харт (англ. Conrad B. Hart), сотрудник Галактического бюро расследований, который случайно раскрывает заговор маскирующихся под людей пришельцев. Его похищают и стирают ему память, однако затем Харту удаётся бежать.

Flashback was initially released for the Amiga platform in 1992; a year out ports for MS-DOS, Acorn Archimedes, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and Super Nintendo. In the period 1994-1995 was published the version on the CD-ROM for the following platforms: 3DO, Apple Macintosh, Atari Jaguar, CD-i, FM Towns, MS-DOS and Sega CD.
The game is different smoother character animation, hand-painted backdrops, pseudotriakidae animations and looked very advanced for its time. It was used the technique of time-lapse manual image processing (rotoscoping); this technique was also used in the games Another World and Prince of Persia. Because of this Flashback is often mistakenly considered a sequel to Another World — another game Delphine Software.
The game takes place in 2142. The main protagonist is Conrad HART (eng. Conrad B. Hart), member of the Galactic Bureau of investigation, who accidentally uncovers a conspiracy of people masquerading as aliens. Kidnap him and erase his memory, but then HART manages to escape.
