I needed this to automatically uncover my VTOL bombers before they get launched. Since it’s infinitely expandable, it’s probably useful for other purposes, but keep in mind that it only moves in one direction and it is not capable of restoring the surface of the platform – those holes will stay there unless you fix them manually (and there’s a bunch of other things you’d need to fix before launching this again).

Recorded at 1 FPS and tickspeed 0.333. Sped up 60 times in post-editing.
Basically, the video is real-time with massively enhanced rendering.
