FlyDigi Apex Game Controller Unboxing And First Test With Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 With PUBG & DEX Mode
In this video I'm unboxing and doing a first test of the FlyDigi Apex Game Controller. This is a controller that's Bluetooth and comes with Bluetooth USB wireless dongle receivers for scenarios where you've not got Bluetooth. It also comes with a USB extender cable and USB charging cable.
This controller is a specialised one that has its own app that you download from the Google Play Store. The app is basically a key mapper so you can control games that don't support the use of game controllers such as PUBG.
This app does not require Android Developer Mode or USB debugging to make it work like the Panda GamePad Pro (BETA) does. Apparently, Panda GamePad Pro can get you a ban with PUBG, the FlyDigi Apex game controller will not bet you banned from PUBG or any other game that its used on. In all fairness though, I've been using GamePad Pro for a long time on two different Google Android accounts and have never been banned on either.
I'd primarily got the FlyDigi Apex controller to see if it works with Samsung DEX, unfortunately it doesn't, or at least not fully. I had it half working but couldn't see the hot spots and overlays, so didn't show this in the video as it doesn't fully work. I will be looking further into this and if I have any success I will defo do a video.
Ignore what I said during the unboxing when I was comparing the Apex to the Stadia controller, Nvidia shield controller and Sony PS4 controller. The Apex is just different, as they all are from one and another and after about 10 minutes of use I'd gotten used to its size etc. It really is a nice controller and I'd totally recommend it, especially if you're a proper gamer on Android, which I'm obviously not :)
With a few modifications to the mapper and some tweaks to sensitivity this is going to be a great game controller for PUBG and many other games that don't support the use of game controllers natively.
