FNaF 4 - Nights 1-5 Speedrun in 1:10.06 w/ Debug Codes, How to Use SC4 and SC6, Night # Save Hacks
FNaF 4 has some debug codes that were left in the game -- video shows how to enable and use them and a speed run done with them. Thanks to REKA for the tip on hitting C on the Warning Screen to enable those codes. I also go through the base game (Nights 1-5) in 1 minute and 10.06 seconds with the Debug Codes and then mess around with save file variables. Interesting how ClickTeam handles some of these values, too (capping values, incrementing, etc.). Thanks for watching! Time codes for Chapters below:

It's another interesting matter with hack prevention (more like hack discouragement in reality). One argument people have for keeping save files plaintext is that you can hack memory anyway. That just seems like technological nihilism, lol. At least make the game standalone to the point of having to go to relatively exhaustive and extra measures outside to change the gameplay. There are a few guards that slow efforts to hack a game down, e.g. obfuscation, holding values on a separate server, having a separate sentinel thread to compare actual values to current values, faux-number meddling, having a cheat-detection system that adds bans to accounts (e.g. VAC), etc. But yeah, it's all 1s and 0s when things boil down to basics. Regardless, I still think basic save file encryption would have prevented people from saying on Day 1 that they beat UCN instantly (albeit with the wrong values, as we found out when we actually beat the mode, lol), and it would prevent easy access to silly unplanned stuff here like Night (Insert random Int32 value).
