For Honor Beta-First look and gameplay
1For Honor is a new game being produced by Ubisoft Montreal. It is a third person, action strategy game. While a good 90% of the game is all action, there is some strategy involved after the resolution of a match. You get to place attackers or defenders along the fronts where your faction is fighting. You get to choose who you fight for when you first install the game but it does not lock you out of who you can play as. For example, you can choose the knight faction but still play a viking raider. There are several game mods you can play in like a 4v4 domination style called dominion, 1v1 and 2v2 duels and elimination. Each hero you use has a huge degree of customization like colors of gear, textures of cloth and even designing an emblem that can be used on armor. You can also change up what taunts and feats you use when fighting.
For Honor is definitely a pretty game and occupies a rather unique spot in the game world. It combines some elements of a more tactical game like Risk and an old board game called Shogun. It definitely will be a game where a high skill cap is going to be possible and I do believe some classes will come out as being really strong. For now, I like the Peacekeeper a lot but I hopefully will be able to try others. I'm not planning on purchasing yet but I may eventually.
