Ford Truck Mania (PlayStation 1) Gameplay
8After a while, I'm back to recording and uploading gameplay footage of console games to YouTube! This one is Ford Truck Mania, which was oddly released in 2003 (although the copyright year on the back cover reads 2002) as a PS1-exclusive. You'd think it also would have been developed for three sixth generation video game consoles since they were already very popular at that time: the PlayStation 2, the original Xbox and the Nintendo GameCube. Maybe there was too much competition happening when this game was in development for the PlayStation 1. Nevertheless, it has a nice selection of off-road tracks and vehicles like the 2003 Ford Ranger, which I drove in this video. The soundtrack is good, and the driving physics are decent for a 2003 PS1 game like this, although at the beginning, it's classified as "fantasy simulation." Seems legit. Unfortunately, there are only four vehicles to choose from at the very beginning, so the player has to unlock even more of them in a career or tournament mode, which I haven't tried yet, but I will sometime.
I recently bought this game at a local retro video game store in early June of this year (it has been a really long since I last shopped at a store for retro games in September 2019) because I've always wanted it for many years since I like Ford trucks generally speaking. It's wonderful for Ford fans like me, so I'd recommend it! Enjoy!
