In Let's play Savage Lands season 2 episode 7 we look at the polished new artwork, UI and HUD that game update 25 has added to the game.
The modern new look disguises a major revision to the way the game deals with player hunger, temperature and health - now, as you get colder, your maximum health is constantly reduced. So you can only repair your health fully when you're completely warm. Furthermore, a stamina bar has been added that is linked to hunger, so as your hunger increases, the shorter amount of time you can fight and run effectively.
To test out how this works, we start a new character and go hunting for Savage Lands bears and forest giants on the north west of the new main island. We also speculate on the location of the mysterious third island, visit a lakeside village with a forge, fight many mobs and discover a bridge over a chasm.
