In this video, we are forging a file into a knife shape. First we cut the file to the desired length of the knife. Then the shape of the knife is forged out and then the edge is beveled. An angle grinder is used to get the exact shape of the knife. The file is heated past nonmagnetic and quenched in warm canola oil to be hardened. The knife is then tempered at 400 degrees for an hour. The handle is made of red oak and varnished. Thanks for watching. Remember to subscribe to see more.
