Forgotten Cavern of Frost (Original)

I originally intended to make an ambient piece, but decided to make it highly melodic after writing the intro. Writing melodic compositions comes a lot more easily to me, and I think I'd even say creating melodies is one of my greatest strengths as a composer. That said, I had an "ice cave" setting in mind while writing this, but I also wanted to give it more melancholy undertones, as if there is some tragedy embedded there that has been long since forgotten.
