Fortnite puts ad on Youtube after Adpocalypse2... (AndrewMycolNews)
3In today's news video, I talk about Epic Games putting a Fortnite Season 8 ad on Youtube after the whole Adpocalypse2 situation.
About a month ago, a youtuber named MattsWhatItIs made a video about how "Youtube somehow allows for the exploitation of children" through watching a series of innocent youtube videos that attract predators. These predators leave disturbing content in the comment section of these videos, and MattsWhatItIs went after the advertisers who were monetarily supporting Youtube. With these companoies seeing this, including Fortnite, pulled their ads from Youtube in an effort to not be associated with the lack of effort Youtube was doing to stop the problem. However, MattsWhatItIs then made several streams where it seemed that he cared way more about ads being pulled from Youtube, than the whole situation he was trying to bring up. However, with Fortnite Season 8 coming out, Fortnite took a bullet and has put an ad on Youtube. This seems to be the first of few recovery efforts that will be needed for Youtube to recover from Adpocalypse 2.
