"Freedom Force" is a NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) video game developed by Sunsoft and released in 1988. In this game, players assume the role of a sharpshooter who belongs to a counter-terrorist organization. Notably, "Freedom Force" was among the few NES games that required the NES Zapper light gun accessory. Additionally, the game saw an arcade release on the Nintendo Vs. System under the title "Vs. Freedom Force."

In each level, the objective is to eliminate a specific number of enemies while carefully avoiding shooting hostages. If the player accidentally shoots too many hostages, they will be sent back to the first level. Throughout the game, players can discover various weapons that offer different advantages, such as a grenade launcher capable of wiping out all enemies on the screen. Additionally, health restorers are available to replenish the player's health.

After completing every two stages, players have the opportunity to engage in a bonus game that rewards bonus points. In this bonus game, players shoot letters to uncover a hidden word. However, the player is allowed a maximum of five misses. If the player accumulates five incorrect letters or the timer runs out, the bonus game ends without any earned bonus points. On the other hand, if the word is fully revealed, the player receives a time bonus.

"Freedom Force" offers an action-packed experience where players must showcase their sharpshooting skills while being mindful of hostages and collecting power-ups.
