Instead of only ever serving the protagonists whatever they needs to reach the next plot-point on a silver plate, I would rather let wander around and explore, enjoying more freedom, even if they use it to fall face first into the ground.

The Rapid Arrows eventually retrieve a "lost" object, encounter severe carelessness and explore a railway station.
