Freespace 2: The Scroll of Atankharzim - Expedition
7This is the fourth mission of the Scroll of Atankharzim campaign for Freespace 2. The jump node whose formation we witnessed with the GVSC Perspicacious has turned out to be chaotically unstable, yet unlike previously observed unstable jump nodes its phasing period is not perfectly regular nor does it entirely dissipate. After some weeks of observations, the pattern was discerned and a probe sent through. The probe was not fit to survive the asteroid field on the far side, however, so now we are sending a manned expedition. We are to form the armed escort for the GVSC Narandum as it ventures into the system beyond the portal as the phase period reaches its peak.
