This is the twelfth mission of the Warzone campaign for Freespace 2. The Shivans have ceased their offensive (again) and the GTVA is in control of both known jump nodes in the Mintaka system. It has been determined that the other node leads to Kaus Borealis. The 12th Vasudan battlegroup, led by the GVD Tatanen, has been ordered to lead the push into the new system. The 125th will spearhead the assault by clearing Shivan defenses in advance of the Tatanen's arrival. Our overall objective is to push into the system as far as possible so that Admiral Russik's task force may search for the Vidar exploration ship's missing components. The details of this operation are classified on a need to know basis. The 12th Vasudan battlegroup's role is limited to engaging Shivan forces while the GTVI task force handles the actual mission.
