This is the 27th mission of Descent: Freespace - The Great War. The Ancient records tell us that the Shivan shield systems do not work in subspace (which we had already discovered because our own do not) but more importantly tell us how to track the Lucifer during its subspace jump. Our mission is to escort the Bastion into the subspace node from Sirius to Delta Serpentis in an attempt to catch the Lucifer as it makes its way to Sol, where it will surely destroy Earth. Once in the node with the Lucifer, the Bastion will launch bombers to strike at the ship's reactors and bombard the Shivan destroyer in an attempt to destroy it while it is vulnerable in subspace.
