This boss fight may appear rather annoying to tackle due to its seemingly random dash trajectories, so here are some frog-gone tips to make 'em croak:

1) The four corners of the boss arena are actually safe zones. Use them!! Lure Kicky's gaze away from any of the corners while it's revving up for a dash and tracking your movement (usually after it winks). If you rush to a corner too early, Kicky will run straight towards you and deal damage in the corner you're hiding at

2) Be careful when jumping near the walls! They're actually not that high and it's possible to accidentally jump on the spikes and take damage. Example at timestamp: 01:42

3) You can use the Frogun to hook on to nearby walls for a quick escape when cornered

4) A green Crocofish will appear a few seconds after Kicky does a whirlwind/tornado spin on himself and this is the only source of "ammo" that Renata can utilize for damaging the boss. Grab that flopping Crocofish with your trusty Frogun and launch it at Kicky while it's still recovering from dizziness to dish some damage. Aim carefully though and make that shot count because you only get one chance before the boss attack cycle repeats and another fish spawns!!
