From the Depths #1: A Bad Bullet Sponge
5It's been two years since I first attempted Campaign Mode in Ftd. A campaign that did not go well, partly because I didn't have a well researched and tested fleet of vessels to use and because I didn't understand the game well.
Now I am building a fleet of thoroughly tested, resource-inexpensive vehicles to start my campaign with. The Hammerhead III submarine. The Iron Turd gunboat. The Chigger Lathrix airplane (so named because I copied the missile design from one used by fellow Youtuber "Lathrix" known for his knowledgeable FtD videos.)
Now I am trying to design a new boat, one intended from the outset to be basically a good inexpensive bullet sponge, to sit there and take the damage and survive while the submarines and the gun boat unload the pain. Will it surpass the Iron Turd as a vessel capable of taking damage, or will it roll around on the seas like a big fragile wooden porcupine?
