FTL: Faster Than Light Speedrun using the Zoltan A ship.

The Zoltan shield makes the first 7 sectors a lot more manageable and the halberd beam can help get you started to where that Zoltan shield almost never comes down. Beams and hacking are what I use to take down the flagship fast. It's possible to aim carefully to perform unintended cheeky swipes with the halberd beam and do 10 damage on the flagship, as well as help with one shotting more ships.

Needless to say a lot of luck is involved in this run. It was very lucky to get the items needed to destroy each phase of the flagship in one volley during one full level hack. Good luck is also important in the flagships attacks missing hacking and weapons for long enough to get that hack attack out. I could probably do this faster there are some VERY fast Zoltan A runs on the leaderboard, but this puts me in the top 10 for overall FTL runs so I'm pretty happy with it.
