Full Playthrough & Review of TMNT: Turtles in Time (2005) - Hidden in TMNT 3 Mutant Nightmare
0Welcome to our video walkthrough of the 2005 port of the arcade classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time! This version was originally released in 1991 and has been made available as an unlockable in TMNT 3: Mutant Nightmare, which I briefly mentioned in my previous video.
This port of the game has been edited to include some notable changes. Scores have been removed and there's now an unlimited credit system, so you won't have to worry about running out of quarters. The game also features altered voices and different music from the DS version of Mutant Nightmare, with one level's music track being from the home console version of the 2003 game. Although the music in this version is good, it doesn't get enough credit because it's nothing like the iconic music that we've become used to.
One major difference between the arcade version and this port is that the 2005 version doesn't have the credits at the end of the game, as you'll see at the end of my video walkthrough. Personally, I find the SNES version of the game to be more balanced and therefore more enjoyable. It's pretty clear that the arcade game was designed to eat up as many coins as possible, and it hasn't aged particularly well in my opinion.
However, this version of TMNT Turtles in Time still has its charms and serves mostly as a nostalgia piece. It was fun seeing it as an unlockable in Mutant Nightmare.
