Full World, Ray Traced, Climate & Weather Visual Analysis Using ParaView | Intel Software
This demo shows a whole earth simulation of weather, wind, and ocean currents computed at Deutsche Klimarechenzentrum (DKRZ), the German Climate Computing Centre. The world is shown in a Spielhaus projection, with Antartica in the center. Realistic path tracing recreates the motion of the clouds influenced by wind currents. The simulation highlights the usage of ParaView v5.9, Intel® oneAPI Rendering Toolkit, and Intel® Optane™ Persistent Memory. Intel’s ray tracing renderer OSPRay, included in the Intel oneAPI Rendering Toolkit, is shown utilizing Intel® Embree, Intel® OpenVKL, and Intel® Open Image Denoise libraries.
