Simplify Data Collection for AI using Blender/Unity APIs | SIGGRAPH 2021 | Intel Software
Data collection plays a big role in bringing photorealism using AI in real-time rendering engines. In this session we demonstrate the data collection pipeline that Intel Labs have built to seamlessly bridge data collection between offline rendering tools such as Blender and real-time rendering game engines such as Unity. The combination of high-quality ground truth data set from Blender (e.g. fur rendering, caustics dispersions, etc.), combined with hierarchical data collection and subpixel level information from GPUs using the real-time rendering engine, will help developers and researchers collect data beyond the rendering capabilities of the real-time rendering engine towards AI-based exploration in graphics.
