A funeral has been held for a Gurkha who won the Victoria Cross for his heroic actions during World War Two. Lachhiman Gurung was serving with the Gurkha Rifles in Burma in 1945 when he held Japanese soldiers at bay for 4 hours, after a grenade exploded causing him serious injury. He died just over a week ago at the age of 93.
