Hey all, thanks for checking out my video of G-Switch platformer game - this release has been around the indie game development community mainly because of its simple feature and still a really fun gameplay. In the game, players control a running character set in some type of futuristic environment. There, the players automatically run across the platforms, many of which include obstacles and deadly traps, as well as boosts and other elements. The objective of the game is to stay alive for as long as possible and keep in front of the automatically moving camera.
The basic setup appears simple enough, but the game is actually a lot of fun. It demands quick thinking from the player and the levels are not procedurally generated, but designed to make the level of challenge constantly rise up. The single tap or click command does only a jump up or down, which makes the player character either jump off or attach itself to the platform above their head.
Through this simple gameplay setup, G-Switch 3 really does work very well for an indie platformer and offers a good example of a bottom-heavy minimalistic game design that produced excellent results. You can play the game on your computer through a browser, or download it on Android or iOS.
