In this episode, Geralt settles into the Inn at Vergen, making his first acquaintances among the locals, exploring the town's markets, and taking part in the usual fist fights and wrestling tournaments. As he finally reaches the War Council, where Saskia, Philippa, and the local dwarven and human warlords discuss their strategy against King Henselt as well as possible ways to lift the strange curse that the King has unknowingly unleashed upon the place, Saskia suddenly falls victim to poisoning - and now Geralt is also tasked with finding a whole bunch of ingredients to produce an antidote.
