If your galaxy s6 volume button is not working first
1. Do a quick restart on your phone
2. Turn your phone off and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes if it feels like its been on too long and is overheating
3. Try doing an update on your phone in the settings since this can often times fix any software or hardware issues
4. If the volume button feels sticky it could be because there is dust and heat that may have caused it
5. Grab some rubbing alcohol and gently rub on it with a cloth to get rid of the stickiness
6. Try doing a hard reset on your phone, but make sure all of your data has been backed up on your pc
