Alice's Guide
Restarting the Game When an Object Breaks

I have to say, this premise seems awfully familiar, seeing as how the end of Tag Showdown included a restart feature whenever one of the two people playing gets broken. Oh wait, this is probably another one of those cases where I'm assuming "Nodons" are "Objects"... when in the Garage's own parlance, an "Object" is a very particular kind of... um... "object"... ... ...

At any rate, it's actually not especially different... the Object-Break Nodon is still here, only the Object in question is a Box instead of a Person... hey, wait! Even the software itself is tripping over the fact that Nodons are just glorified Objects! ...even the Object Nodons are Objects! There are no rules! Embrace the anarchy!

... ... ...except for all the rules. Computers love rules!

I'm more than a little bothered that this one largely consists of reintroducing our Nodons by their "character" shtick in order to reveal that, indeed, we're doing exactly the same thing as last time. I guess we DO have the chance to try it all over again, you old geezer!

...not that I don't appreciate the effort and detail, mind you. This is our first time putting three Nodons together in such an arrangement, and each of them presents an important building block unto itself, not just when used in this specific configuration.

Well, maybe the restart one is a bit ho-hum one-note, but... that's still a very important quality of life function that we wouldn't want to be without!

I just consider it unusual that Alice is here to... basically say what Bob had to offer, just... faster? I guess you can always come back here for a refresher on this very important configuration of parts, admittedly more complex than anything else we'd done before. It'd certainly get to the point a lot sooner than Bob's lesson on the matter.

I should also point out that while it might seem silly to remove any and all conditions that the Object-Break Nodon is checking for... i.e. now checking for NOTHING, it's a worthwhile demonstration and exercise in seeing just how the machine thinks: it'll do exactly what you tell it to, in great detail. Even if the details you've fed it amount to nothing. You've then told it to do NOTHING as a result. Very literal. (You get used to it!)

It's therefore also important to note that it'll look for exactly what you told it to in terms of the breakage... if you tell it to check for Boxes, it won't care if a Sphere gets wrecked. If you tell it to look for broken Spheres, but NOT Boxes, then it'll do jack all anytime a Box is broken. Again. Very literal. Like those literal, but rules-twisting wish-granting genies... or holograms! Their responses are limited; you must ask the right question!

---

And, with that... that's literally everything I can make the demo do or say or explain for us! You'll still have access to the version of Tag Showdown you made with Bob, but you won't be able to change anything... although I suppose you could do the lessons over again as something of a loophole, but I haven't tried...

What I was keen to notice is that the demo DOES have save data. It will remember the specific colorizations you made to Bob's Tag Showdown as directed and you'll be able to bring it up and play it... but there are no further lessons available without the full version of the game.

Since it DOES save, I'd like to hope it means that it'll carry over your progress to the full product, even if that "only" means that you followed directions.

Nobody likes to be told the same thing over and over again when there's the promise of new content just on the horizon!

... ... ...wait... please don't apply that thought to what I've just done here with this video's general lack of fresh content...

It was all Alice's idea! I can't do anything about it!
