This is a thing I never actually knew existed... and while I've heard that it appears in the game's demo sequences by leaving it alone long enough... that doesn't really tell you HOW it's done or what it can do for you.

Specifically, you need to have low HP... like SUPER low. Lower than 50, no extra energy tanks. The fact that the Shinespark technique (that you don't NEED to finish the game, either--a friendly native teaches you in the one room that absolutely requires it to escape back the way you came!) will drain your HP when you use it can be an asset in this regard.

You also can't have ANY energy in your reserve tanks, because this throws off the game's check for your eligibility and you'll never get it to work no matter whether or not the other criteria are met.

Then you need at least 10 Missiles, 10 Super Missiles, and 11 Power Bombs. Personally, the premium on Super Missile upgrades made this take quite awhile before I could even start trying to do it, but that could just be down to my own diligence in collecting items.

Anyway, once you meet the conditions, you need to hold the "aim angle up" button, "aim angle down" button (these default to L and R buttons), and the down directional button and then hold the "fire" button while you're in Morph Ball mode. This will cause you to lay down a Power Bomb... and that's the reason why you need "11" Power Bombs. That is, 10... plus the one used up to perform the move in the first place.

If you've done everything right, Samus will spontaneously shed her Power Suit and enter a rather intimate healing pose as her energy reserves skyrocket in exchange for consuming your various ammunition types along the way.

You are NOT safe while doing this, by the way. An enemy that survives the Power Bomb ignition can easily hit you and wreck the whole thing, which could be deeply problematic considering the critical health requirement to initiate it.
