One of my favorite works to be honest. Here I'm exploring the problem a game designer responsible for balancing might face. My main point: there's always the best way for any given circumstance and players will min-max things regardless of how many options you'll provide. People optimize the fun out of the game. Therefore more options by design doesn't mean more options for the players
