Game Dev Calls Players "Beggars" Apologizes (War Thunder)
Andrei Artamokhin ( Андрей Артамохин ), on the official stream of War Thunder said some very controversial things about his customers. Gaijin, his parent company, rapidly deleted the stream and tried to stop all discussion on the matter by deleting posts and threads related to the matter. Once information regarding what had happened went viral they changed strategies, Andrei issued a written apology and his boss Vyachislav Bulanikov ( Вячеслав Булаников ) gave a video apology on his behalf.
In this video I translate the relevant parts of this controversy as well as I can. I also offer my insight and opinions. Personally, I don't think Andrei should be fired because I feel like this is probably Gaijin's general opinion, rather than his own. They have been overcharging the willing (including me) for years and we tolerated it due to our love for the game. Along with their absurd forum policies, where they banned me for posting a somewhat critical video, (check this vid for more:
