Game Devs Need to CALL OUT Gamers!
Unfortunately, some game developers do take the dumb comments that gamers made to heart.
"Game devs need to call out gamers more often." Why? Why do you want to antagonize gamers? That's like saying chefs should call out their customers. That worked out very well in every Kitchen Nightmares episode.
"Gamers cry way too much and feel too entitled." If you think that gamers are too entitled to demand so much from you, then you are also not entitled to our hard-earned money. Might as well go bankrupt and homeless while you're at it.
"Proper criticisms (backed by some understanding of the games) are welcome." No, they're not. No, they're not. There are many genuine criticisms towards video games that are dismissed as "whining" or "entitlement." That is always the first line of defense when western game developers are confronted by it.
I say this many times and I'll say it again. Criticism is an art form. Everyone can criticize, but not everyone can make good criticism. I believe that most people on the net cannot make good criticism the same way most people on the net cannot make good art, but there's nothing wrong with that. Not everyone is talented. Not everyone can speak their points well. Just ignore the bad and learn from the good, except most people want to ignore the good and overreact from the bad.
