Sonic X Vol. 1 is one of the many of 32 megabyte cartridges produced for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance by Majesco and released between 2004 and 2006.

These cartridges typically had around 40 minutes of heavily compressed video, just about enough for two episodes - just like the old VHS tapes you could get of popular cartoons that cost just as much as a movie but only had two episodes. The video quality is... well, better than you'd expect on a tiny GBA cartridge running at 240x160. It's watchable even if it is a bit framey and has loads of artifacting. As much as you can see it blown up on a computer screen, the artifacts usually weren't distractingly obvious when watching on the Game Boy Advance's almost 3-inch screen.

It's a novelty (well, not really - there were like 6000 of these carts released), and I thought it'd be a fun thing to share. Enjoy this relic of the distant past - a time before you could watch YouTube on your cell phone.
