256A playthrough of DTMC's 1993 versus fighter for the Super Nintendo, Ranma 1/2: Hard Battle.
Played through as Akane on the default settings.
For the few who knew about Ranma in the early 90s, this would've been a real treat. It's a serviceable fighter, albeit simplistic, that does a really got job at fan service with its music and nicely detailed sprites. Just so long as you remember to not expect anything near Street Fighter 2's level of depth or complexity, you shouldn't be too disappointed by this shallow but fun game.
This is also the sequel to Irem's notorious SNES fighter Street Combat. Suffice it to say, this game fares much better with better controls and the Ranma license still intact. And, best of all, there are no characters named Steven in sight!
