Forspoken Review

As I said previously, red flags have been going up about Square Enix’s Forspoken left and right as of late. The demo was not terribly well-received and needed its own patch before release. The PC specs of the game were ludicrous. The dialogue in the trailers felt cringe-worthy.

But the idea was that perhaps the final product would surprise us, and at the very least, the cool spellcasting and creative world might overcome any issues. Turns out that is…not the case. Reviews are spilling in for Forspoken and they are pretty bad. And that’s even with Square Enix trying to do review score damage control.

Spider-Man 2:

Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor behind Insomniac Games’ Peter Parker, is not exactly going to say Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is crap, is he? Speaking with ComicBook.com, however, he did give us some insight into the upcoming PS5 exclusive project. He told the website that the game is “astonishing”, and admitted that he’s still got a “little bit of work to do” on the title – despite the release launching later this year.
“It’s a massive game so I’m still doing a little bit of work,” he beamed. “I know they’re confident about their release date and Insomniac has always been good about that. Obviously, I can’t really talk about the game much, but I will tell you that it’s astonishing. I’m so excited for you to play it. They know they’ve got big shoes to fill from the last two games and they’ve done it. I just can’t wait for people to play it.”

DualSense Edge Review

Sony dabbled in premium pad options with 2020’s DualShock back button attachment, but it arrived late in the PS4’s lifecycle and of course isn’t supported by PS5’s DualSense.
That’s meant that any PS5 owner looking for customisation and additional buttons has been forced to dive into the third-party market, with controllers such as Scuf Reflex Pro offering a premium (and pricey) alternative, but without many of Sony’s flagship features such as haptics and adaptive triggers.
Enter the DualSense Edge, a new $200 / £210 official controller that adds a lot of the features hardcore players have been asking for, such as the ability to add extra back buttons, tweak the deadzones of its sticks and triggers, along with the kind of slick backend integration only a first-party product can offer.

An intriguing piece of information about Sony’s upcoming home console was revealed by the Abhishek Yadav insider referring to the french Phonandroid website citing an anonymous source. He claims that the Japanese company will launch a completely new PS5 model as early as April 2023, or roughly 2.5 years after the end of 2020 which saw the launch of the current model.
The source confirms that it will be a Pro model rather than the Slim variant we have been hearing about for a while. If it is a Pro model, we can presumably anticipate better console performance and, as a result, a new chip from AMD. However, it is still too early to predict the level of power that we can expect.
