Gamers! l Anime Short Review
0Gamers! is a slice of life anime that was supposed to break the cliche of the typical slice of life anime. Then they got stuck in the well of misunderstandings and they never got out.
Episode one was great. It showed us that it was going to break the 'norms' of anime. Then Chiaki appeared and that's when the formula got muddled.
It's simple, like sociology. You add in another person within a 2-person group, you disrupt the balance. Or in this case, you put a person in a 4 MC group, things get real.
The five character cast means that one person will be left out of it has a romance. I should've seen that coming.
The misunderstandings are okay for maybe an episode... not as the entire anime. I feel like it was beating me over the head constantly, while not going any where.
What is Gamers!?
Gamers! is about an ordinary kid named Keita Amano who likes video games. One day, he is pulled into the gaming club by one of the most popular girl (because of course), Karen Tendou. On the way, he befriends a used-to-be nerd named Tasuku Uehara and his girlfriend Aguri and also a nerd named Chiaki Hoshinomori
Wow, I feel like I just described every other slice of life anime
