Gaming on Linux EP#11: Farcry 6 (Ubisoft)
Trying out Farcry 6 on Linux was not very successful to say the least. I tried getting the Epic version so I could play it through Heroic, but Heroic does not detect it, as you still need to run Ubisoft Connect. I then tried Lutris with Ubisoft Connect which was almost unplayable and also tried Ubisoft Connect through Steam with similar results. I installed it on Windows 10 through Ubisoft Connect and it just worked flawlessly. So what is the problem? Apart from the fact my CPU sucks and recording at the same time gives 10FPS less, all the stupid launchers!! I suspect if it worked through Heroic itself or Steam native, it would perform much better.
