Gaming with Netbooks: Midtown Madness
If you think the GMA 3600 is slower than the 950 or 3150, you'd be right; at least in Midtown Madness. While the GMA 3600's 2 predecessors can manage well above 30 fps, the 3rd generation GPU can only muster 30+ fps for split-seconds at a time, while usually hovering around the 17 fps mark. Keep in mind that this is on maxed out settings; with lower settings, gameplay becomes smooth. But come on, this game is 14 years old; we shouldn't have to lower settings to get a fluid experience. If Intel put as much effort into GMA 3600 drivers as they do for the latest HD Graphics (Haswell), I wouldn't be complaining so much. :)
