You'd think that a game from late 1998 would run like Usain Bolt on a netbook. Sadly, that is not the case. While Rogue Squadron 3D is mostly playable, there are some levels where the framerate drops to about 9, which completely ruins the experience. The worst part is that this game works perfectly on older N2x0 and N4xx-class netbooks, while it's moderately suckish on these newer N2x00 netbooks. Once again, Intel's graphic driver is causing the problem; they really need to get to work on it...

FPS @ 640x480: 10-44
FPS @ 640x480 w/ FRAPS recording: 9-30

My specs:
Intel Atom N2600 @ 1.6 GHz (dual HyperThreaded cores)
2 GB DDR3/1600 CL9 RAM underclocked by CPU to DDR3/800 CL5
Intel GMA 3600 @ 400 MHz (based on PowerVR SGX545)
250 GB 5400 RPM HDD
Windows 7 Starter 32-bit

Notes: I use an ISO of the game disc mounted in Daemon Tools Lite to run the game. It's essential that the 1.2 patch is installed, you can get it at http://www.lucasarts.com/support/update/rogue.html.
