Garou Match: Lodey (Dong, USA) vs. fa5699 (Rock, Japan)
14Recently, I've started to get back into Garou after a recent North American tourney in 2020 reignited my interested in the game. I've been training again on Fightcade and really enjoying the game like I used to on GGPO. I used to go by the name "Secret!" and played this game a lot 10 years ago, but I took a very long hiatus due to work/streaming and just lost interest for years.
The community is now much bigger than it used to be, with a great Discord server and some really strong players! It's exciting to be a part of this game's community, for a 1999 game, it's still alive and kicking.
This Rock was really good and I thought I'd throw this set up online. We had some really good and close matches, even despite the high ping of 240 ms, it was pretty stable at 2 frames of latency. Suffice to say, you may see some dropped combos here and there, but the matches are still pretty exciting in my opinion. Shout out to fa5699 for being willing to play with me, I can tell his Rock is very solid! Apologies about the last round being cut off, that's how the video came out when Fightcade recorded it.
