Hello guys, i played GMod in 2006-2007, when i have a cool awesome account. But it gets hacked (there's no Steam Guard back then), so in 2011, i got a new account but didn't have gmod until 2013! I dig into my old hard drive, i found garrysmod_content.gcf. Last modified in 2007. I thought it's not possible to go back old version. But it's possible!

How to do this?:
1. Get your GMod GCF.
2. Open it with GCFScape.
3. Extract garrysmod folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods.
4. Rename garrysmod folder to garrysmodclassic.
5. Open the folder and open gameinfo.txt
6. At "game" "Garry's Mod", rename Garry's Mod to some name you like it to be in the Steam Library.
7. Now delete steam.inf inside the folder.
8. Restart Steam and now there should be your game!
9. Also right click at your game, properties.
10. Click Set Launch Options
11. Type "-insecure" and then press Ok. (GMod did not have VAC back then. Until 2010.)
12. Now you can launch your game.

Confirmed, vac won't ban you for this.
