This is a review of the multiplayer portion of Gears 5. Overall a good package with a great new game mode with a map editor along with good improvements to the Horde mode formula. Versus mode I found to be the weakest with the least changed with the same problems and experience as previous iterations. It's a matter of enjoying one or more of the game modes as content will regularly be updated with new maps every week for Escape mode along with additions in the form of new maps and likely characters for the Horde mode. Best way is to check it out through game pass then if there's even a single game mode you like it's worth purchasing or playing on game pass for as long as you like.
