Gears Tactics is the fast-paced, turn-based strategy game set 12 years before the first Gears of War. Cities on the planet Sera are beginning to fall to the monstrous threat rising from underground – the Locust Horde. An immersive and character-driven story where you play as the defiant soldier Gabe Diaz, rescuing and building your troops in a journey of leadership, survival, and sacrifice with customizable squad and equipment with massive boss battles. Prepare your troops to face tough enemies, upgrading their skills and outfitting them with loot collected in challenging missions. Command your squad in fast-paced and uniquely brutal, turn-based tactical combat. The game won't have multiplayer modes or microtransactions of any kind. Sadly for me - it will be a story-driven campaign with 40+ hour gameplay, pretty much like rebooted X-Com which I was not too happy about because replay value is quite low. Let's see if the epic boss fights with brutal and violent turn-based combat can make up for this! Developed for PC, Gears Tactics launches on April 28, 2020, on the Windows Store and Steam.
