In this video, I'm doing a 1 Credit Challenge of a game that I never played before. That game is: Gemini Wing for the Arcade. This game was developed and published by Tecmo, it was released in 1987. Gemini Wing was ported to many home computers, such as: Amstrad CPC, Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, MSX, ZX Spectrum and Sharp X68000. Gemini Wing is a vertically-scrolling shoot 'em up, which is distinguished by its unusual power-up system. Instead of gaining occasional tokens which lead to lasting weaponry improvements, occasional flurries of tokens are released to ensure a quick burst of improved fire. The organic backgrounds are detailed, and have many sections which fire at the player character. The enemies in this game are some insects and some strange creatures. At the end of each level, you have to fight a boss. For example: Stage 1 is a green walrus, stage 2 is a Twin Cyclops, stage 3 has no boss, because this is the only stage without fighting a boss. Stage 4 is a Sea Blob, stage 5 is the mothership, stage 6 is a centipede and the final stage is a giant fly. Overall, Gemini Wing is a very fun scrolling shooter by Tecmo and I really enjoyed it. If you haven't played Gemini Wing before, then give this game a try. I hope you enjoy this 1 Credit Challenge video of Gemini Wing for the Arcade and thanks for watching!
