Gems of War - E12 teams (EP26) - Skulls and Bones
0Well, look at that! ANOTHER skullspam team. Running out of ideas, it seems...
This one is built around Undead troops.
In tank position we use Titan class hero with Mountain Crusher, to get things going and to provide brown mana four our troops. I use "Bloodthirsty" over "Lightning Strike" to get more powerful skull hits with enrage on 4/5 gem matches. Titan isn't necessarily required but I'd recommend to use some barrier class.
2nd slot goes to Khetar Undead Bone Dragon. It used to be meta troop in early days of GoW when I was still tapping my pee puddle. He's fallend off from the radar since then but hey, let's use cuz why not? He eliminates up to 25 armor from an enemy and creates 9 skulls, boosted by the armor eliminated with 4:1 ratio. So basically as long as enemy has over 25 armor, he creates total of 15 skulls, if my math is right (it usually isn't). He also gains armor based on your magic stat. If you happen to loose your hero, his 2nd trait comes handy, it freezes enemy who deals skull damage to him.
3rd slot goes to King Bloodhammer. Always reliable Undead Dwarf who deals [Magic + 4] damage to the 2 strongest enemies and then transforms all blue gems to doomskulls to boost the damage with 3:1 ratio. He also summons doomstorm when enemy dies which should help with those skull alignments. Doomstorm can also backfire, thus why I recommend using barrier class for protection. But you can easily switch the doomstorm to duststorm by casting MC, assuming your MC is upgraded.
We use pretty lady Ghost Queen in 4th slot for 50% start to all Undead allies, so our bottom three will start with 50% mana. She also has pretty useful spell cast, doing life steal and also steals enemy mana by 7.
Deck mechanics:
Get MC up. Blow the board and accumulate mana. Look for blue to skull alignments with Bloodhammer or roll the dice with Bone Dragon. Steal Mana from dangerous enemies with Ghost Queen.
