Gems of War - E12 teams (EP32) - Noob Corner II
Hello young warrior! I see you have found my secret video about how to destroy everything with Rowanne! Yes, I know. It was tough case to watch Episode 1 of this series where I used Megavore and Thrall. You don't have Megavore, and your Thrall destroys 7 gems. It sucks! But don't worry! You will have Megavore. And your Thrall WILL destroy half of the board one day! Until then, we can still use Rowanne in various ways!
In the first four matches we use the very first effective Rowanne team which you can unlock pretty soon while advancing in the game. Like I said, there are various ways to use Rowanne effectively, and this is what I used until I unlocked little bit other goodies. 1st deck, go!
In tank position we use Titan class hero with "Golden Cog". You will obtain this weapon when you unlock both level 8 Fire & Air gem masteries. What the weapon does, it gives armor to an ally equal to their current armor. Basically doubles up the armor, to say it not so frikkin fancy way! Duh.
In 2nd position we use rare Adana troop "Clockwork Sphinx", which is not that rare lol. C.Sphinx destroys all gems of a chosen color and it gives all allies [Magic + 2] armor, boosted by gems destroyed with 3:1 ratio. Armor from everywhere, right? You can kind of spam this Sphinx if there is 12 or more brown OR purple gems on the board. As you destroy them, your Sphinx is back to full and you can cast it in the next turn to get mana to other allies. Or if there still is 12 brown/purple, you can do it again. By doing this you will become the master of spamming and you will be ready for Thrall and his whip when your base magic is higher! You just got chills, didn't ya? I know I did.
3rd position we use "Rowanne" who deals [Magic + 3] scatter damage, boosted by her armor, times two. So now you probably understand why we use weapon which just doubles up the armor and doesn't do any damage. If Rowanne's armor is say 20, and you use Golden Cog to it, it will be 40. Now, as her damage is boosted by armor x 2, she will deal 80 damage + (Magic + 3)! You will unlock Rowanne by completing Forest of Thorns kingdom quest!
In 4th position we use ultra-rare troop from Khetar, "Settite Warrior" which will be our support slash damage dealer. Settite Warrior gives [Magic + 1] armor to an ally. and then deals scatter damage EQUAL to the ally's armor, with 1:1 ratio. Ok so if your Rowanne has 40 armor, Settite will give little bit more armor and after that he will deal 40+ scatter damage, and wipe out whatever is left from Rowanne's cast.
The whole purpose of this deck is to feed armor in various ways to Rowanne, and swipe enemies when Rowanne has enough armor to deal big scatter damage spell cast.
At some point you will notice that if enemy hits Rowanne, her armor dips to like 3 and it is incredibly painful to double up 3 to 6, 6 to 12, 12 to 24 and so on with Golden Cog. But this deck will get you through all kingdom quests and eventually you will unlock Urskaya and Sentinel class. Which leads us talk about the deck I use in the last two battles in this video.
In tank position we still use our Titan hero, but this time with Sentinel class weapon Shield of Urskaya. In order to get the weapon, you have to win 250 matches using Sentinel class. What the Shield does, is it give an ally [Magic + 1] armor, BOOSTED by ALL enemy attack with 2:1 ratio. So if every enemy has combined total of say 100 attack, the shield will give +50 armor to an ally. The Shield has incredibly good upgrades, which give Barrier to hero, give 1 mana to all allies, bless hero and stun the first enemy. Oh and I almost forgot to mention when you cast shield, the ally you give the armor will also get barrier, and enrage. This weapon will allow you to do quite high level matches as the weapon scales. If enemy has 500 combined attack, you will get +250 armor and Rowanne will deal 500 scatter damage, as she hits twice her armor amount.
Ok so we got our Colden Cog weapon upgraded to Shield of Urskaya, well how about if we upgrade our Mana generators too. Let's ditch that Clockwork Sphinx, and bring on Underworld Faction Stonesong Eyrie epic troop "Harpy Mage". Harpy Mage is little bit different exploder. You have to choose an ally, and she explode [Magic + 1] gems of ONE OF THEIR Mana Colors. So you kinda gotta check the left side panel how much there is gems to explode, but we got little trick here. When you cast her, she will conjure duststorm too. Brown gems will fall more often, and as our hero uses brown, we can pretty much always just choose hero. She will also start with 75% mana if traited.
In 4th position we will use Leprechaun who mainly is our empowered start engine. I'm running out of typing space so in short, he will explode green gems. If you can't explode Harpy Mage at some point, your Leprechaun is probably full and will reload Harpy Mage again.
