Gems of War - E12 teams (EP69) - Time to butcher some Nexians!
Happy holidays grinders! I have finally acquired the last piece of the "Classic Poison META" team. Our guild pulled mythic troop from Legendary tasks! Enter: "Euryali." I am especially happy man because of two things: I can now spam this META team at Nexus and I also saved 4000 diamonds as Euryali would have been my next mythic craft. In case you have Scorpius but are still lacking Euryali, note that she will be craftable in one of the next three upcoming weeks. After that the mythic cycle 21 ends and we start cycle 22 and it's all lottery again what mythic are available to craft. But now, let's go through this team. This version is suitable for mid level warriors because it doesn't require high global magic stats. If you are end gamer and are interested for slightly faster version, check the link at the bottom of description.
In the tank slot we use our Titan hero with "Mountain Crusher". This is really straight forwarded choice based on couple things. We use Titan for 50% start, Duststorm at start and Barrier. Anything else in talent trees is just bonus. We use Mountain Crusher for mana generation and to have "permanent" Dust storm to feed our main damage dealer. However, if you can take skull hit or two, alternative classes to use are Frostmage and Tidecaller. Both have 50% start, Lightning Strike (or sort of with Tidecaller) and Snap Freeze, what usually saves some seconds in the battles. As we explore at Nexus, there is big chance that you encounter Shayle, who conjures Duststorm at the start of the battle so you don't need Duststorm talent from Titan's "Storms" talent tree. If you want extra protection, you can always use Elementalist. IMO it is Titan class on steroids, without the 50% mana start to hero.
2nd slot goes to our main damage dealer. This Drifting Sands mythic monster was already introduced in Episode 47 and followed with another version in Episode 50. If you lack Euryali, check those episodes! "Scorpius" deals [Magic + 15] damage to the last two enemies, and if the enemy is poisoned, he straight up kills them and that's it. He doesn't have ability to poison enemies though so that is when our new addition comes into play.
In the 3rd slot we use Mist of Scales Divine/Naga mythic "Euryali". Euryali is actually not bad troop at all, even though the main usage in this team is her 3rd trait. She Deals [Magic + 2] true damage to all enemies, which is boosted by Naga and Undead allies. Then he summons a Bone Naga, which is kind of useful meatshield if you happen to lose your Mountain Crusher, although Bone Naga badly mana blocks Scorpius. Now, the 3rd trait. Her unique 3rd trait "Poison Gaze" poisons all enemies on 4 or 5 Gem matches. So in other words, one extra turn, passive poison will trigger on all enemies and your Scorpius will lethal shot bottom two enemies. Fill Scorpius again, and he will lethal shot the remaining two enemies. Match done. Easy! But hear me out. This works best only at Nexus, because it is currently ONLY "Poison immunity" free kingdom at Krystara. Every other kingdom has atleast one troop that has immunity to poison and that is when the matches start to take time. You still can win the matches pretty easily, but they aren't fast enough so you could just use some faster team instead this. But let's enjoy this setup again until Nexus get their first poison immune troop.
In the 4th slot we use Leprechaun here, to kick things going faster.
Deck mechanics:
Explore at Nexus.
Cast Leprechaun.
Cast Mountain Crusher.
Make sure enemies are poisoned and cast Scorpius.
Repeat the mana generation process and kill remaining enemies.

If you prefer Thrall over Leprechaun, here is link to a clip where I use that setup which is slighty faster, IMO:
