Series 7 doubles (VGC 21) is here and a lot of new Pokémon to try out from the Crown Tundra DLC. New team featuring Regidrago and all of the galar starters as I think Regidrago is pretty strong right now with the decreasing usage of Tapu Fini. Continuing to use the Regidrago team as I'm starting to think that gen 8 has the best starters competitively.

Welcome to episode 33 of VGC 2021 Baek to Baek Battles, a VGC Battle Stadium Series where I go on the Championship Battle Stadium and play some games. The goal of the series is to try out new Pokémon, new strategies and learn as we battle one battle at a time towards the end of the season and the VGC 2021 World Championship!

Spoiler: Looked over the battle in post. The reason my opponent Vine Lashed Regidrago was because they thought I might be able to knock out their Tapu Fini (I was neutral attack after Intimidate due to the Max Knuckle boost) on the turn they switched Landorus into Tapu Fini and I'm assuming it was Specs Fini and no protect on both Landorus and Tapu Fini. They probably double protected never anticipating me to switch out the Rillaboom.

How to Use: This team mainly tries to sweep with Regidrago. Using Regieleki and Rillaboom to pressure Tapu Fini and deny Misty Surge is extremely important. Regidrago can be supported with CInderace using Max Airstream to boost its speed and lower opponent's Sp Def, Clefairy with Follow Me and Helping Hand Support as well as Inteleon using Icy Wind and Soak to get rid of steel and fairy typing so Regidrago can hit them hard. Soak is also very effective with Rillaboom for some powerful and unexpected knock outs!
