This is a play-through using Hagane in the PS1 game Genei Tougi: Shadow Struggle. Read on below for more information...

Hagane is a hidden boss in this game. He is an unlockable playable character.

===== About Hagane =====
He seems to be one of those 'dead serious martial artist master' type designs... you know the traditionally strict Japanese martial artist who only fights worthy opponents.

Hagane is basically a more powerful version of the regular character Kei, as his moves are identical to his.

He has some very good hard-hitting moves, and being a rather large character, he has good range in his strikes.

===== Additional Information =====

---- His 2nd color palette is very similar to Shin Akuma's color palette from SFA2... I wonder if this was a reference to him? You can see this in the last match of the video.

===== About GT:SS =====
Genei Tougi: Shadow Struggle is an okay game. Whilst the game graphics is 3D, it plays like a 2D fighter, e.g. Street Fighter style. It even has a SFA2-style Custom Combo feature, which activated, allows you to mash your own combos in. When in this mode, just make sure you don't get your back facing the opponent. ; )

The gameplay is well rounded off, and feels complete. It's sometimes a but clunky though. If you asked me to sum up the gameplay, I would call it a mix of Rival Schools and Street Fighter.

Personally, I like the music in this game... each of the tunes has got a lot of character and they stand out. You just don't get themes like this anymore in fighting games, which is a shame.
