Shura no Mon [PS1] - play as the Survival mode character
This is a play-through using the Survival mode character in 1-Player mode in the PS1 version of Shura no Mon. Read on below for more information...
The Survival mode character only appears in the game's Survival mode as a CPU-only opponent. He is an unplayable character.
There are several versions of this character, but for this video I'll show the version of him that appears first in the Survival mode.
===== Additional Information =====
---- There is no image portrait for him on the character select screen.
---- Completing 1-Player mode with him will lock the game. This is obviously because he has not got an ending programmed in.
---- His Japanese name 透明 (which is written in Chinese kanji), means "transparent".
===== About the character =====
He is a very basic character with no 'special' move (all the regular characters have their own special move). His strike range is quite short as well. Overall a very weak character, but that's to be expected for a 'cannon fodder' type character. I think his basic move template is based on an existing regular character, so it doesn't actually make him that unique.
===== About Shura no Mon =====
Shura no Mon is based on a Japanese manga series of the same name.
The game is based on the martial art of karate, and tries to be authentic with it. The game-play works by having the player out-last each other using mostly single blows, which needs some patience and strategy. You won't find any fancy stuff in here, although there are a few combos and some flashes of special moves that take off ridiculous amounts of life.
Another interesting feature is the fact that the fighter's arms can be disabled, depending on the move used to inflict it. I'm not sure if this can apply to their legs though.
The hit-pause is almost non-existent, which makes the game feel very 'light' and shoddy.
